Title: medicus
Post by: coach on August 31, 2007, 10:37:43 PM
I am in the market for a Dual hinge Medicus 5 iron to practice with.  I was hoping to find one that someone has put in a closet and no longer uses.  If anyone knows of such an animal, I would be willing to negotiate it's release.
I would also be interested in hearing from those that own one or have used one.  Do you think they are helpful?  Would you recommend them? etc!

Hi! Coach,

I don't know anyone who's selling any of these critters but I do know of someone who has bought it for his son to use. Well! according to this friend of mine, he would recommend it's use for someone who's trying to groove their swing. However, he also said to be prepared for much frustration when you first start to use it.

They usually come with the lighter adjustment in place, and it is almost impossible to swing the club without it breaking down for the new owner. If you get one, start with a tighter adjustment, and as you progress gradually decrease the adjustment pressure on the hinges. Once you are at the lowest adjustment pressure, and can swing the club without it breaking down, your swing will be working well for you.

Hope this helps!!!  ;D
