Keeping your Wrists Flat at the Top of the Backswing
« on: April 22, 2009, 12:47:30 PM »
Chances are, you have no idea if your left wrist is flat at the top or if it's cupped, pronated, or flat at the top.

This is not your fault, of course, it's just that you have no way of knowing if you have the correct
position of the wrists at the top. And that's probably why you need to take lessons from a pro in the first place, because they'll know if you have the correct wrist position.

And there is only one correct position, i.e the left wrist should be in at the top of the backswing - FLAT.

“The wrist needs to be flat at the top of the backswing”

Could this simple wrist brace make you a better ball striker?

Please feel free to discuss ...

end of discussion.....flat wrist is the way to go for straight ball flight.

the only thing that bothers me is its tough to educate the wrist to be flat

There is an answer and a solution to all our "kembang semangkuk" woes .... Go see Azwan the Clubfitter kat Bukit Jelutong Driving Range .... He can custom fit your clubs to suit your swing and make your ball go straight ....  ;D

I started golf too late and I'm too old to change my swing, badan dah keras daaaah lah beb!!! .... So an alternative would be to .... make the club fit you rather than you fit the club ...  ;) But having said that, some purist would not agree to take this route ... Me? I'm a social golfer ... If my tee-off shot can find fairway and if I can get a "3-on" on a par 4 & a 2-putt .... gua dah happy dah bro!!! ... Even that pun .. bkn senang!!!

.... Anyway! I just paid him a visit for some swing tests ... Nice guy!!!   :)
