LILIA VU CLAIMS HER FIRST LPGA VICTORY IN THAILAND
Trailing by six strokes at the start of the final round, Vu who was making her debut at the Honda, unleashed eight impressive birdies to race back to the top of the leaderboard, ending her campaign with an immaculate round of 8-under 64 for a 22-under 266 total at Siam Country Club Old Course.
The 25-year-old American claimed her maiden LPGA crown with a one-shot victory over home favorite Natthakritta Vongtaveelap, and became the third American to triumph in the event after Lexi Thompson in 2016 and Jessica Korda in 2018. This will be Vu's first tour victory after three third-place finishes in 2022.
