This was Keith Mitchell's first PGA TOUR victory.

The 27-year-old American made a 15-foot birdie putt on the final hole and closed with a 3-under 67, finishing at 9-under 271, a stroke ahead of Brooks Koepka and Rickie Fowler, to win The Honda Classic.

Mitchell, the world No 162, had appeared out of contention when he bogeyed the opening two holes in the final round, but emerged to the top of the leaderboard after he birdied the 12th, 13th, 15th and 18th, which took him to 9-under 271.

Ryan Palmer, who was tied for 39th when the final round began, looked at one stage as though he would make a record-breaking comeback with a 7-under 63  - the best round of the week. He was, however, eventually overtaken by Mitchell, as well as Koepka (66) and Fowler (67), and finished on 7-under.

Tour Talk & Golf News / Park Sung-hyun wins 2019 HSBC Women's World Championship
« Last post by KAKIGOLF on March 03, 2019, 06:49:51 PM »

25 year-old South Korean Park Sung-hyun carded an eight-under 64 to win the US$1.5 million 2019 HSBC Women's World Championship in Singapore. This victory was the World No.2 sixth win on the LPGA tour.

Australian Minjee Lee, who is ranked No.3 in the world, came in second. She managed to keep pace with Park and actually took the outright lead at the 13th hole, but bogeyed the par-four 14th and eventually had to settle for a final-round 69.

Meanwhile, World No. 1 Ariya Jutanugarn was hampered by two double-bogeys at the par-three fourth hole and par-five 13th. The 23-year-old Thai carded a three-over 75 to finish joint-eighth with an eight-under 280 total.

Park Sung-hyun pocketed US$225,000 for her effort.

Johnson carded a five-stroke lead over Rory McIlroy and 10 strokes over the rest of the field with a 5-under 66 in the final round that included an impressive 31 on the back nine. With rounds of 64-67-66-66, his 263 is the lowest total by five shots in the three years the tournament has been played here. The previous low was set by Phil Mickelson last year.

This was Dustin Johnson sixth win at a WGC event, and his 20th career PGA Tour title.

Tour Talk & Golf News / Amy Yang Wins LPGA in Thailand
« Last post by KAKIGOLF on February 25, 2019, 09:50:09 AM »

South Korea's Amy Yang had to hold off strong challenges from Australia's Minjee Lee and Spain's Carlota Ciganda to win the 2019 Honda LPGA Thailand on Sunday. With three holes to play, Yang was sharing the lead with Ciganda and Lee, but a birdie from the fringe on the par-3 16th allowed Yang to regain the lead by one stroke.

The South Korean carded a final-round 7-under 65 to finish ahead of Lee, who didn't drop a shot during her round of 66.

This will be Amy Yang's third victory in Thailand. She now has won the tournament in 2015, 2017 and 2019.

Golf Equipment / Re: One Length Irons - Anyone Have Tried These Clubs?

Been hearing a lot about Bryson DeChambeau's clubs. He's using one length irons. Also read good reviews on Cobra's F8 one; their one length club.

Anyone here have any experience with these irons?

Member saya seorang ada pakai Cobra F8 1. Kata dia distance kurang skit tapi accuracy terbaik .. Dah tak bole dia stroke dah  :)

Golfalot.com gave the Cobra F8 one irons 4 stars review, and users are giving all stars rating (I've posted the link below). From what I read most major brands won't bother adding the one length irons to the product range because majority of golfers won't buy them. But Bryson DeChambeau seemed to be doing well with his single length irons. Lets see if it catches on.

Seriously considering getting a set. The difference in distance comes just from the lofts.  I see the benefits of not having different multiple swings when I could just have only 1 or 2 or different swings. Been tempted for quite a long time to get the single length. Its time to take the plunge I reckon.
